About Us

Hi there! We are Devon and Brock; founders of The Social House. Allow us to introduce ourselves. We are animal lovers, fitness enthusiasts and not photographers. So why open a Photography Studio? We are glad you asked! For as long as we can remember, we have dreamed of owning our own business, getting out of our corporate jobs (I work in Product Operations and Brock is an Occupational Therapist), and building something we could be proud of. We had no idea where to start and even though we had so many ideas, nothing felt RIGHT.

In 2021, we visited a unique upscale selfie studio and immediately thought it would be a wonderful addition in our tourist driven hometown. But it still didn’t feel right. We wanted something more closely tied to our local community and wanted to create something from our own vision, yet we were stuck on the idea of a photography studio. We loved the idea of bringing together so many elements of joy, beauty, art, and creativity. Dreaming of the ways we could positively impact our community, get to KNOW all of you in a special way, contribute to the success of other creatives and small businesses, AND live the life we always dreamed of. So we took a chance. We slowly turned our dreaming into planning. Fast forward to today, we created The Social House Studio! We hope you love it as much as we do!
